Fluorescence Detection
There are numerous methods available as commercial instruments, optimized for whole genome sequencing (WGS) targeted sequencing and other applications. They all rely on some type of light detection: usually lasers excited fluorescence or bioluminescent enzymes. Key laser parameters are usually low-noise and high reliability. Coherent offers a wide range of OEM lasers that emphasize these characteristics, with numerous wavelength choices and power from 10s of milliwatts to several watts.
